ILC are recruiting a finance trustee

ILC – the UK’s leading authority on the impact of longevity on society – is recruiting a new finance trustee.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in ILC’s work, care about the issues and have a passion for making a difference.

You will advise the Board of Trustees on the financial implications of its strategy and policy objectives, ensure the organisation operates within the legal and financial guidelines and requirements set out in current legislation, and work closely with the Treasurer, Chair and Chief Executive to safeguard the organisation’s finances.

You will sit on the Trustee Finance and Remuneration sub-committee reviewing and discussing meeting papers and providing feedback and guidance to the internal finance team and Chief Executive on matters pertaining to risk, the financial health of the organisation and the annual audit.

The charity is looking to recruit with a view to strengthening succession planning for the Board’s financial leadership, including the Treasurer role. They are therefore seeking a qualified accountant (eg CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or AAT). Experience of working with small to mid-sized charities is desirable.
