Loneliness in later life: research project aims to help identify the causes

Could YOU spare time to help researchers better understand the causes and challenges of loneliness? If so, do please read on!

Dear Age Action Alliance Members,

I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, studying at the University of Edinburgh. I am currently completing a doctoral thesis which has been granted ethical approval by the university, investigating loneliness in later life and its associations with adverse experiences in childhood and social/relational factors.

I am gathering this information anonymously, in the form of online questionnaires which participants can complete in their own time. Participation in the study takes approximately 25 minutes.

The only inclusion criteria for the study are that participants must be aged 65+, must be fluent in English, and must have lived in the UK for the past three years.  All of the relevant information you need should be on the leaflet below.

For further information, and to participate in the study, please click the following link: https://edinburgh.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0DGI1webIqoB3Yq

Thank you!
